What we collect, and when
We only collect information you type in. There is no account to create and no login.
When you use a design tool
The outdoor kitchen, fireplace, fire pit and backyard tools ask for an email address and optionally a ZIP code before they open. The ZIP is used to show pricing closer to your region and to tell us whether a project is inside our service area.
The design itself — your layout, components and dimensions — is saved in your own browser so you can come back to it. It stays on your device unless you choose to send it to us.
When you send a design or request a consultation
The contact and consultation forms collect your name, email address, phone number, ZIP code and whatever you write in the message, plus optional details such as budget range and the best time to call. If you send a design, a summary of that design goes with it.
When you subscribe to the newsletter
Your email address, and optionally a first name and ZIP code. Nothing else.
Automatically, as you browse
Standard web request data (IP address, browser type, pages viewed, referring page) and analytics identifiers set by the services listed below.
Why we collect it
- To prepare a budget proposal and, if you want one, to arrange a site visit.
- To email you a copy of a design you created.
- To send the newsletter, if you asked for it.
- To understand which pages and ads bring people to the site, in aggregate.
We do not use your information to make automated decisions about you, and we do not build advertising profiles of individuals.
Who it is shared with
We do not sell, rent or trade personal information. We share it only with the services that run the site, and only so far as they need it to do their job:
- Cloudflare — hosting, security and site analytics.
- Web3Forms — delivers form submissions to our inbox.
- Resend — sends the design confirmation emails.
- Kit — stores the newsletter list and sends the newsletter.
- Google Analytics and Google Ads — measures site traffic and which ads lead to enquiries.
- YouTube — embedded videos, loaded in privacy-enhanced mode.
- Our own CRM at crm.eaglebuilt.ai, where enquiries are stored so we can follow up.
We may also disclose information if the law requires it, or to protect our rights, safety or property.
Cookies and analytics
Google Analytics and Google Ads set cookies to count visits and to tell whether an ad click led to an enquiry. Cloudflare sets cookies needed for security and performance. Embedded YouTube videos use youtube-nocookie.com, which does not set tracking cookies until you press play.
Your design is stored using your browser's local storage rather than a cookie. Clearing your browser data removes it, and we cannot recover it for you.
You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings. The design tools will still work; analytics will simply not count you.
How long we keep it
Enquiries and leads are kept in our CRM for as long as we may reasonably need them for the project and our records — generally no more than seven years, which is the period California contractors are expected to retain job records. Newsletter subscriptions are kept until you unsubscribe. Analytics data follows the providers' own retention periods.
Your choices
- Unsubscribe — every newsletter has a one-click unsubscribe link. You do not need to reply or ask.
- Access, correction or deletion — email info@eaglebuilt.ai and tell us what you want removed. We will confirm when it is done.
- Opt out of analytics — use your browser's privacy settings, Google's opt-out add-on, or a Global Privacy Control signal.
California residents have rights under state privacy law to know what personal information is collected, to have it deleted, and not to be discriminated against for exercising those rights. We honour those requests from anyone who asks, regardless of where they live. We do not sell personal information and we never have.
Children
This site is for people planning construction work and is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect information from children. If you believe a child has sent us information, email us and we will delete it.
Security
The site is served over HTTPS, API keys are held as encrypted secrets rather than in page code, and access to the CRM is limited to EagleBuilt AI. No system is perfectly secure, and we will tell affected people promptly if something goes wrong.
Changes to this policy
If we change how we handle information we will update this page and change the date at the top. Material changes affecting newsletter subscribers will be announced in an issue.
